The green roof has an area of approximately 65 square meters and was created on the western roof of the K3 building of the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering.

Local plants of the Cretan nature, adapted to the local climatic conditions, were used.

The construction was carried out by the project’s student team with the assistance of other students. Special thanks to PhD candidates Panagiotis Regkouzas and Ioannis Asimakoulas of the Laboratory of Environmental Engineering and Management.

The supervision and supply of materials was provided by the enterprise ‘Babylon Gardens’; special thanks to the Founder of the company Mr. Spyros Kouvelis for his contribution to our project and the provision of all services at cost.
